Instead of being like Good Guy Greg, my friends and I often change each other's statuses to something funny so that everyone thinks they are crazy. In the next example, " cool story bro " is funny because whenever people hear that today, they know that someone is being sarcastic, but Good Guy Greg is the rare exception. Similarly, the next example depicts the ideal friend who will always clean up their messes, but everyone knows that this is not always the case. Good Guy Greg gives people something to hope for if they have bad friends, even though it is just a meme.
